We are a Conservative-oriented synagogue which has been serving the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys for more than 19 years.
If you are looking for a small, friendly, and affordable congregation, where everyone knows your name, you are invited to get to know us and give us a chance to welcome you to our T.O.C. family. Join us for Services and our other Events and Programs that meet your interests.
Our fees are low and we are glad to work with you, to meet your individual needs!
There are several Membership Categories, including Individual, Couples, and Family Memberships, which may include child/children of any age.
There are also a limited number of non-member tickets available for our High Holy Days Services.
Rabbi Ronald Hauss is our spiritual leader. Our ritual vice-president is Cantor Ray Cohen. Rabbi Hauss and Cantor Cohen officiate at our High Holy Days and Shabbat Services.
Please go to our High Holidays 2012 page for details.
High Holy Days Services will be held again in the beautiful Sanctuary, with comfortable seating, and ample free parking.
The Membership page has a Membership/High Holidays Ticket Form, which can be downloaded, for your convenience.
Our monthly Shabbat Services are usually held on the first Friday night of each month.
High Holy Days Services and Friday night Shabbat Services are held at St. Stephen, in the Sanctuary. The address is 20121 Devonshire Street, Chatsworth, CA 91311. It's located on Devonshire at Winnetka & is near the 118 Freeway (Porter Ranch exit).
We also hold Saturday morning Shabbat Services in the Sanctuary, when scheduled by our Ritual Committee. The Saturday Services often include calling a Bar or Bat Mitzvah to the Torah or celebrating a Baby Naming Ceremony.
If you are not currently affiliated with a congregation, and are interested in celebrating your Simcha with us, please e-mail us at Info@TempleOreChadash.com with your request, and our Ritual Vice-President will contact you to discuss.
We have a wonderful Social Committee, which plans a schedule of social events throughout the year. These include our annual Chanukah Party and other parties & activities, as well as a variety of other types of programs, such as Torah Study and adult Hebrew classes with Rabbi Hauss.
In August, we held our popular 3rd annual Shabbat Family Picnic Services under the stars.
Last year we held our successful 2nd Annual T.O.C. Mahj Jong Tournament with Silent Auction & Raffles. The event was a great fundraiser & a wonderful camaraderie experience!
Other Special Programs are offered too, and in past years have included the Temple Seder, Sisterhood Luncheon, and Men's Club Speaker Brunch.
We are like an extended family... and we invite you to join us!
